Anthony Torres, 23, a Hispanic/Latino male, was gravely wounded in the early hours of October 5, 2025, when gunfire broke out at an apartment in the 8800 block of Ferguson Road in Far East Dallas. Officers responding around 1:20 a.m. found two people shot; both were rushed by Dallas Fire-Rescue to a hospital, where Torres died from his injuries. The second victim survived and was hospitalized.
Detectives have not publicly identified a motive, and authorities have released no description
