Esquibel Leelino Rodriguez, a 38-year-old man of Hispanic ethnicity, was fatally shot on October 3, 2020, in West Dallas, Texas. He was outside his mother's house in the 3100 block of Conroe Street when three masked men approached and opened fire. Rodriguez was with friends and family in the front yard when the shooting occurred. The suspects fled the scene in a white Mercury Grand Marquis.
Detectives believe the shooting was personal, as one of the suspects was seen asking questions before the attack. Surveillance footage captured the car and some of the events, but the shooters' faces were obscured. The suspects also shot Rodriguez's two-month-old puppy as they left.
Dallas police have been actively searching for the suspects and have released descriptions and surveillance footage to the public. They are seeking information about the white Mercury Grand Marquis and the three men involved. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
