Carolyn J. Parrish, a 66-year-old woman, tragically lost her life on May 16, 2019, in Dallas, Texas. She was shot and killed while sleeping in her car on the night of the incident. The shooting occurred around 12:20 a.m. in the 1300 block of Grinnell Street in the Oak Cliff neighborhood. Parrish's son, Kia McAfee, revealed that his mother chose to sleep in her car because she didn't want to leave her two dogs inside the house.
