Javier Chacon, a 48-year-old man from Dallas, Texas, was found dead in his home in the Pleasant Grove neighborhood on August 16, 2015. His family discovered him with a gunshot wound when they arrived home around 9 p.m. The Dallas police were called to the scene and launched an investigation, initially treating it as a homicide.
