On April 16, 2015, 20-year-old Byron Jones was fatally shot in St. Louis, Missouri. He sustained a gunshot wound to the buttocks and was discovered in critical condition. Despite immediate medical attention, Byron did not survive the injuries. His death was one of many that contributed to the alarming number of homicides in St. Louis in 2015, a year marked by a significant spike in violent crime.
