On April 28, 2024, Jason Harris, a 41-year-old resident of Utica, Mississippi, was fatally shot in a violent incident that took place outside the Sugar Shack Club. The shooting occurred shortly before midnight and involved multiple individuals, resulting in a total of five people being shot. Harris was pronounced dead at the scene after suffering multiple gunshot wounds.
