On March 11, 2015, six-year-old Marcus Johnson was tragically killed in St. Louis, Missouri, while he was leaving O'Fallon Park with his family. Marcus had recently undergone heart surgery, and his parents hoped a visit to the park would aid in his recovery. As the family left the park, their minivan was caught in a rolling shootout, believed to be connected to a traffic dispute. A stray bullet struck Marcus in the chest, and he was transported to a hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
