In the late hours of a Monday night in St. Louis, Missouri, a young man's life was cut short by a sudden burst of violence. On March 23, 2015, 27-year-old Ned Brooks was discovered inside his vehicle, which was stopped and still running at an intersection in the 4000 block of Goodfellow Boulevard in the northern part of the city. He had been shot multiple times in his chest, torso, and groin.
The incident occurred at approximately 11:15 p.m.
Emergency services were called to the scene, but Brooks was pronounced dead right there in his car. The initial investigation by the police revealed a chilling, albeit brief, account of the events leading to his death. Witnesses reported seeing a dark-colored vehicle pull up alongside Brooks' car.
