That separate incident took place on September 18, 2021, in the 5800 block of Delmar Boulevard, where the older Leachman was shot and later died at a hospital. In that earlier case, police circulated images of a black Jeep Cherokee or Grand Cherokee with a missing wheel cover as a vehicle of interest, but the arrest of Kenneth Johnson was specifically tied to the murder of the 19-year-old Shaun Leachman in October.
