Robert Smith, a 20-year-old male, tragically lost his life on December 17, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas. He was involved in a drug transaction when he and a 14-year-old boy, Bobby Lee Carter Jr., were approached by two individuals who robbed them and shot them. Two suspects, James Miller and Jaylen Dears, were later indicted by the Bexar County Grand Jury for capital murder. The cases were prosecuted by the Criminal Trial Division in the 437th District Court.
