Roger Allen, a 31-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on June 20, 2022, in San Antonio, Texas. The incident occurred at a residence on Moon Rock near Wagner High School. Allen's nephew, Jcoery Smith, was identified as the shooter. According to court testimony, Smith called 911 shortly after the shooting and reported that he had shot his uncle.
