Tiffany Shaquena Shepard, a 34-year-old African American woman from Killeen, Texas, tragically passed away on February 23, 2021. She was involved in a domestic disturbance with her husband, Archie Andrew Mitchell, which escalated when Mitchell took out a handgun and shot Shepard. Shepard was pronounced dead at 2:12 a.m. the following morning. Mitchell then shot himself in the garage as police arrived on the scene, and he was pronounced dead at 2:14 a.m.
