On August 25, 2024, at approximately 4:33 a.m., Killeen Police Department officers responded to a report of gunshots in the 2300 block of Andover Drive. While en route, they were informed of a vehicle accident in the 1000 block of Westover Drive. Upon arrival, officers discovered 68-year-old Vivian Delois McClain unconscious inside a crashed vehicle, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Justice of the Peace Nicola James pronounced her deceased at 5:04 a.m.
