Nariah Champion, an 18-year-old woman from Houston, Texas, tragically lost her life on April 23, 2022. She was fatally shot in the abdomen at an apartment complex in South Harris County. The incident occurred when Zakorion Batiste, a 17-year-old, was allegedly playing with a loaded handgun, which accidentally discharged and struck Nariah. The bullet caused severe injuries, and despite being rushed to a local hospital, Nariah was pronounced dead upon arrival.
