On April 13, 2024, in Houston, Texas, 48-year-old Trinishia Yashonda Brown was fatally shot in her residence on Tuffly Street. Her husband, 49-year-old Johnny Edward Brown, contacted 911 around 9:40 p.m., reporting that he had shot his wife. Upon arrival, Houston police officers found Johnny Brown on the stairs with a firearm nearby; he was taken into custody without incident.
