On September 11, 2018, an incident occurred outside Canyon Springs High School in North Las Vegas, Nevada, resulting in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old student Dalvin Brown. The event was preceded by a fight involving Brown and other students. Initially, there was some confusion regarding Brown's role in the altercation, but North Las Vegas police later clarified that he was one of the three students involved in the fight that ultimately led to his death.
