On the evening of October 5, 2022, Kevin Lamar Fleming, a 50-year-old Black male from North Las Vegas, was found shot to death inside his vehicle. The incident occurred just after 10:40 p.m. in the parking lot of the Lake Tonopah Senior Apartments, located at 2151 Citrus Hills Avenue. Authorities who arrived at the scene discovered Fleming unresponsive, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
