On July 8, 2022, 52-year-old Allen Geisel was found dead at the Villas at Shadow Oaks Apartments in Austin, Texas. He had suffered a single gunshot wound to the back of the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was reported to the police by Jacklyn Ensign, a 30-year-old woman who called 911 claiming she had shot someone and mentioned abuse.
