In the early hours of October 14, 2023, at approximately 2:20 a.m., Austin Police Department (APD) officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of Burton Drive in southeast Austin. Upon arrival, they discovered 50-year-old Feliciano Alvarado-Lajuj lying in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. Emergency Medical Services transported him to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead around 3:30 a.m.
