On the evening of March 23, 2024, at approximately 9:39 p.m., Austin Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Hillside Villas apartment complex, located at 2207 Wickersham Lane in southeast Austin. Upon arrival, they discovered 44-year-old Christopher Rodriguez suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene.
