Matthew Aguirre, a 22-year-old man from Austin, Texas, tragically lost his life on March 16, 2018. He was fatally shot in the early hours of the morning in the 2200 block of South 5th Street, just north of Oltorf Street. When police arrived at the scene, they found Aguirre lying in the street with obvious trauma to his body. He was quickly transported to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center, but despite medical efforts, he was pronounced dead at 6:04 a.m.
