Javier Hernandez, a 31-year-old male of Hispanic ethnicity from Amarillo, Texas, tragically died on July 17, 2022. He was brought to a local hospital with a gunshot wound early that Sunday morning and later succumbed to his injuries. Witnesses reported that Hernandez had been involved in a fight with several men in the 3500 block of SE 11th Avenue, during which one of the men pulled out a gun and shot him.
