On November 30, 2025, a violent double homicide occurred in the 1600 block of Northwest 9th Avenue in Amarillo, Texas, claiming the life of 42-year-old male Andy Wayne Curtis Galloway, Sr. The shooting took place on a Sunday morning and resulted in a significant police response, including the deployment of the Amarillo Police Department's SWAT team.
