In the early hours of Sunday, December 21, 2025, a life full of promise was tragically cut short in Amarillo, Texas. Ramon Amendariz Jr., a 16-year-old Hispanic male, was fatally shot in the parking lot of the Hamlet Shopping Center on Dumas Drive. The incident, which unfolded shortly after midnight, cast a dark shadow over what was meant to be a celebration.
