Manuel Sanchez Jr., a 28-year-old Hispanic male with Down syndrome, was tragically murdered on September 4, 2022, in El Paso, Texas. On that fateful evening, Manuel left his home around 9 p.m. to play basketball at Sgt. Jesus Roberto Vasquez USMC Park, a place he frequently visited. When he did not return home, his father grew worried and called 911.
