Richard Madrigal, a 33-year-old Hispanic male, was tragically killed on June 11, 2016, in El Paso, Texas. Known as Rick "Mardi Gras" during his time as a DJ at KLAQ rock radio, Madrigal was a beloved figure in the community. At the time of his death, he was excelling in his role as a sales manager at Destination El Paso, the city's tourism office, and was scheduled to graduate from the University of Texas at El Paso later that year. His degree was presented posthumously to his family.
