In the spring of 2014, a dispute over the volume of music tragically escalated, leading to the death of 29-year-old Bruce Whitmore, Jr. in Memphis, Tennessee. On the evening of April 15th, Whitmore was in the 2100 block of Clayton when he was shot twice. The incident reportedly stemmed from an argument that broke out after Whitmore asked a group of individuals to turn down their music.
