On a summer evening in Johnson City, Tennessee, the life of Michael Alexis Lee Rowe, a 30-year-old Black / African American male, was tragically cut short. On July 4, 2014, Rowe was sitting in a vehicle, engaged in a conversation, when he was fatally shot. The incident was later determined to be an act of second-degree murder.
