Genevieve Crosby, a 48-year-old woman, tragically died on August 11, 2014, in Sevierville, Tennessee. She was the director of marketing for the Tarpon Springs Cultural Center and was on vacation with her family in a rental cabin in the Smoky Mountains. The incident was determined to be a murder-suicide. Genevieve's husband, Richard Crosby, shot her multiple times before turning the gun on himself. Genevieve was taken to a nearby hospital but did not survive.
