In the quiet town of Sevierville, Tennessee, the life of 73-year-old Sue Ella Gibson, a white female, came to a tragic and unexpected end on the morning of August 2, 2020. Known for her love of family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as her passions for cooking and canning from her garden, her sudden death sent ripples of shock and sorrow through the community.
On that Sunday morning, at approximately 7:58 a.m., the Sevier County Sheriff's Office received a distressing 911 call from the Gibson residence on River Divide Road. Upon arrival, deputies discovered Sue Ella suffering from a gunshot wound.
