Joeuan Booker, a 31-year-old Black man, was killed late on February 21, 2015, after gunfire erupted inside Vanderbilt University’s Wesley Place Garage in Nashville. Close to midnight, campus police were alerted to possible shots in the garage and found Booker suffering from what was described as an apparent gunshot wound.
