Jevon Wilson, a 20-year-old male, was fatally shot on the evening of Sunday, November 8, 2020, in East Nashville, Tennessee. The incident, which also resulted in the wounding of a 21-year-old man, took place around 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of South 7th and Dew Streets.
According to the girlfriend of the surviving victim, she and her boyfriend had just arrived outside her apartment on Dew Street. Her boyfriend walked over to a car that was occupied by at least two individuals.
It was at this point that shots were fired. After being hit, he returned to his girlfriend, who then drove him to a hospital for treatment.
Jevon Wilson was discovered a short distance from the initial shooting scene, lying in the street. Investigators have not determined if he was pushed from a vehicle. He was transported to a local hospital, where he died shortly after his arrival.
Homicide detectives with the Metro Nashville Police Department are actively investigating the circumstances that led to the shooting. While they have indicated that several leads were developed in the immediate aftermath of the incident, no arrests have been publicly announced, and no suspects have been officially named in connection with Jevon Wilson's death. The investigation remains ongoing.
