On a Friday evening in Nashville, Tennessee, the life of 33-year-old Timothy M. Hodge was tragically cut short. On August 5, 2022, police responded to a shooting at the Knollcrest Apartments located at 3301 Creekwood Drive. Upon their arrival at approximately 6:17 p.m., they discovered Hodge in the parking lot with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators determined that Hodge, who was not a resident of the apartment complex, had been shot while inside a parked
vehicle. After the shooting, he was left on the pavement as the vehicle he was in sped away from the area. The investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting began immediately, with Homicide Unit detectives pursuing active leads throughout the night.
Within a couple of days, the investigation led to the identification of a suspect. Metro Nashville Police announced that they were searching for 31-year-old Tyrone McGee Jr. in connection with the fatal shooting. A warrant for criminal homicide was issued for his arrest. Authorities also released information that McGee was likely driving a blue 2007 BMW X3 and asked for the public's assistance in locating him.
