On a Sunday afternoon in Nashville, Tennessee, on October 29, 2017, a heated argument between a father and son escalated into a fatal encounter that ended the life of 18-year-old Kobe Hoyle. The Black male was shot and killed by his father, 55-year-old Brentnol James, outside of their Branwood Drive home in the Donelson area.
