On October 29, 2017, 18-year-old Kobe Hoyle was shot and killed by his father, Brentnol James, outside their home in Nashville, Tennessee. The incident began as a heated argument that escalated into a physical altercation, during which Brentnol claimed he felt threatened by his son and feared for his life.
