Virginia Dorris, a 53-year-old woman from Jackson, Tennessee, tragically lost her life on March 23, 2015. She was employed as a teller at the Bank of Jackson, where she was fatally shot by her ex-boyfriend, David Laster. Laster, who had a history of domestic violence and a criminal record that included charges of rape and aggravated rape, also took his own life after killing Dorris. The incident was classified as a murder-suicide.
