On January 7, 2024, a tragic incident occurred in Jackson, Tennessee, resulting in the death of 18-year-old Tyrese Hardin. The young man was walking to a store to purchase food for his family when he was fatally shot. The shooting took place as Hardin was returning home, during which he was reportedly chased. This incident was one of two shootings that the Jackson Police Department (JPD) investigated on that Sunday.
