On the night of July 13, 2016, 32-year-old Michael J. Moran was found lying in the parking lot of the Pine Brook Apartments on Hickory Hill Lane in Hermitage, a neighborhood in Nashville, Tennessee. He had sustained gunshot wounds to his torso and leg. Emergency responders transported him to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
