In the late hours of New Year's Day 2017, the community of Nolensville, Tennessee, was disturbed by what some residents initially dismissed as celebratory fireworks. In reality, these sounds were gunshots that ended the life of 43-year-old Robert Ward, a white male, inside his Sam Donald Road home.
