Aaron Washington, a 31-year-old African American man from Nashville, Tennessee, was tragically shot and killed on June 15, 2019. The incident occurred in an alley near 23rd Avenue North and Formosa Street. Witnesses reported hearing approximately five gunshots before seeing Washington running down Formosa Street. He was later found in a nearby yard with a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
