On April 20, 2017, 19-year-old Kelton Guy was fatally shot in South Memphis, Tennessee. Officers responded to a call around 9:30 p.m. to the area of Vaal Avenue and Kansas Street, where they found Guy with a gunshot wound. Despite immediate medical attention, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident was reported to be a result of a shooting, but the police did not release any details about the circumstances leading to the shooting or any suspect information at the time.
