On a spring evening in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 39-year-old Reginald Maurice Anderson, an African American man, was tragically cut short. On May 24, 2020, Anderson was in a parking lot at 1300 Bellevue when he was fatally shot. A woman who was with him at the time, Renita Bennett, was also shot multiple times but managed to survive the violent attack. Anderson was remembered by loved ones as a friendly, funny, and loyal person who enjoyed making people laugh.
