On May 26, 2017, the St. Louis community was shaken by the discovery of two young bodies in the Walnut Park East neighborhood. Police were called to a vacant lot behind an abandoned property, where they found the remains of 19-year-old Rayshaun Foster and 16-year-old Ajante' Johnson. Both victims, identified as Black males, had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
