On June 15, 2023, 17-year-old Keyon Taylor was fatally shot during a confrontation at the Mobil Crown Mart gas station on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in St. Louis, Missouri. The incident, which occurred around 7:15 p.m., involved two groups exchanging gunfire. Taylor sustained gunshot wounds to his shoulder and buttocks and was transported to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
