On the evening of June 17, 2018, in Clarksville, Tennessee, a senseless act of violence claimed the life of 22-year-old Taren Lyles, an African American woman. Lyles was seated in the driver's seat of her car near the intersection of Main Street and 11th Street when multiple gunshots were fired into the vehicle.
