Carlos Demel Guy, a 17-year-old African American male, was tragically shot and killed on January 1, 2019, in Memphis, Tennessee. He was on his way to visit his family on Crystal Oak Drive when the incident occurred. Carlos was rushed to the Regional Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries. His death marked the first homicide in Shelby County for the year 2019.
