In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 26-year-old Cameo Covington was tragically cut short. On February 10, 2019, officers from the Raines Precinct were flagged down by a pedestrian at approximately 12:34 a.m. near the intersection of East Brooks and Millbranch roads. The officers were directed to a vehicle where they discovered Covington in the driver's seat, unresponsive. He had been shot, and his death was investigated as a homicide.
