On January 7, 2023, in Memphis, Tennessee, a tragic incident unfolded involving 19-year-old Ramarin Baker Jr. and his father, 45-year-old Ramarin Baker Sr. Police responded to reports of gunfire at a residence on Ridgemont Avenue, where they discovered the father and son engaged in a physical altercation. Officers observed that Baker Jr. was armed and ordered him to drop the weapon. Instead, he fired multiple shots, fatally wounding his father.
