In the winter of 2024, the city of Memphis was shaken by the violent deaths of two women. On the afternoon of December 16th, police responded to a call in the 4700 block of Manson Road in Southwest Memphis. Inside a gray Kia, they discovered the bodies of 54-year-old Sharon Wilson and her friend, 53-year-old Ellen Buford Granberry. Both women had been shot to death.
