On a summer day in Memphis, Tennessee, the life of 18-year-old Kentavion Dancy was tragically cut short. The Black / African American male was one of two victims in a fatal shooting that occurred on June 11, 2023. The incident took place in the 6000 block of Valleydale Drive in the Southeast part of the city, where both Dancy and 15-year-old Denisha Pittman were found with multiple gunshot wounds. Both teenagers succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
