In the late afternoon of August 20, 2010, tragedy struck in Memphis, Tennessee, forever altering the lives of the family and friends of Arthur Simmons II. The 23-year-old male was driving his gray Saturn in the 2200 block of Hawkins Mill when he was ambushed and shot multiple times with a handgun. In a desperate attempt to escape his assailants, Simmons's car crashed, and he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
